📜 Authentic Hadith

ʿUthmān b. Abī al-ʿĀṣ (RA) said:

“I complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a pain that I had in my body since I embraced Islam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

‘Place your hand on the part of your body where you feel pain and say: Bismillāh (In the name of Allah) three times, then say seven times:
A‘ūdhu billāhi wa qudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa uḥādhir (I seek refuge with Allah and with His Power from the evil that I find and that I fear).’

📚 Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Hadith 2202

🌸 Reflection:

This beautiful Sunnah reminds us that healing begins with remembrance of Allah. Instead of relying only on medicine, we start by seeking Allah’s help — the true source of cure. When you experience pain, place your hand, remember Allah’s Name, and recite this du‘ā with full faith.

💡 Action Plan:

  1. Whenever you feel pain — physical or emotional — recite this Sunnah du‘ā.

  2. Teach your family this simple healing method.

  3. Trust that Shifā’ (healing) is only from Allah.

🤲 Reminder:

وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ۝۸٠

“And when I am ill, it is He (Allah) Who cures me.”
(Surah Ash-Shu‘arā’, 26:80)
