“History Repeats: The Corruption of Israel”
📖 Allah said in the Qur’an:
“And We conveyed to the Children of Israel in the Scripture that, ‘You will surely cause corruption on the earth twice, and you will surely reach [a degree of] great arrogance.’”
(Al-Qur’an 17:4)
🔹 Today, we see this prophecy reflected again:
Killing innocent children and women.
Destroying homes and land.
Starving people by blocking food and aid.
Torturing and oppressing the weak.
The arrogance and oppression of Zionist Israel is not new — it is a repetition of the corruption warned about in the Qur’an.
⚠️ But Allah’s justice is certain. Just as He humbled the oppressors of the past, He will bring down every tyrant who spreads fasād (corruption) on earth.
Summary of Surah Al-Isra (17:4)
وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَىٰ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي الْكِتَابِ لَتُفْسِدُنَّ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَتَعْلُنَّ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا٤
And We conveyed to the Children of Israel in the Scripture that, "You will surely cause corruption on the earth twice, and you will surely reach [a degree of] great haughtiness.

In this verse, Allah ﷻ informs about what was decreed upon Bani Isra’il (the Children of Israel) in the earlier scriptures:
They would cause corruption on the earth twice, through disobedience, oppression, and transgression.
They would rise in great arrogance and pride, leading to severe consequences.
Reflection
This verse is a reminder that arrogance, corruption, and oppression always lead to downfall. Just as it happened with Bani Isra’il, any nation or community that spreads corruption and pride will face Allah’s justice.
Context of Surah Al-Isra (17:4)
This verse is part of the early section of Surah Al-Isra (Bani Isra’il), where Allah ﷻ addresses the Children of Israel and reminds them of what was revealed in their earlier scriptures (like the Torah).
🔹 The Two Corruptions
Allah informed them that they would cause two major outbreaks of corruption (fasād) on earth.
Scholars of tafsīr explain these corruptions as times when Bani Isra’il:
Disobeyed Allah’s commands, turned away from His guidance, and became unjust in their dealings.
Showed arrogance and rebellion, leading to their eventual humiliation by powerful enemies.
🔹 Historical Fulfillment
The first corruption is often linked to their rejection of the prophets and killing some of them. Allah punished them by sending the Babylonians (under Nebuchadnezzar) who destroyed Jerusalem and took many into captivity.
The second corruption is linked to their renewed arrogance and disobedience. This time they were struck by the Romans, who again destroyed their temple and scattered them.
🔹 The Lesson
Their downfall was not random; it was the result of arrogance, corruption, and rejecting Allah’s guidance.
The verse stands as a warning to every nation: when pride and corruption dominate, Allah’s justice will come.
✨ Simplified Understanding
Allah told the Children of Israel that because of their repeated disobedience, they would cause corruption twice and rise in arrogance. Each time, Allah would send a strong enemy to humble them. This is a timeless reminder that corruption and arrogance lead to destruction.
💡 For the believers, this is a reminder: Do not lose hope. Stand firm. Allah’s promise of justice never fails.
