🕌 Return to Allah & His Messenger ﷺ in All Matters
📖 The Verse
“O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you truly believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best way and best in result.”
— Al-Qur’an 4:59
🌿 Context & Meaning
This verse was revealed in Madinah, guiding the Muslim community in building a just and united society. It lays down a clear system of obedience:
1️⃣ Obey Allah – Follow His commands in the Qur’an.
2️⃣ Obey the Messenger ﷺ – Follow his Sunnah, which explains and completes the Qur’an.
3️⃣ Obey your leaders – Respect and support those in authority, as long as they do not command what is against Allah’s law.
When disagreements arise, the solution is simple: return to the Qur’an and Sunnah. This is the mark of true faith in Allah and belief in the Last Day.
🔑 Lessons for Us Today
Put Allah and His Messenger ﷺ above all.
Follow leaders with respect, but never above the truth of Islam.
Solve conflicts and differences by referring back to the Qur’an and Sunnah, not personal opinions.
This path brings unity, peace, and the best outcome for the community.
