Morning & Evening Adhkar – Best Recommended Times
Allah ﷻ reminds us in the Qur’an to glorify Him at two special times of the day:
“So be patient over what they say and glorify the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting.”
(Qur’an 50:39)
These blessed times are when the believer finds peace, protection, and barakah through morning and evening adhkar.
🌿 When to Do Morning & Evening Adhkar?
✅ Morning Adhkar
Best time: After Fajr prayer until sunrise
Evidence: Qur’an (50:39), Qur’an (33:42) – “…and glorify Him morning and evening.”
Practical Tip: Start right after Fajr, before getting busy with the day.
✅ Evening Adhkar
Best time: After ‘Asr prayer until sunset (before Maghrib)
Evidence: Qur’an (50:39) – “…before its setting.”
Hadith: Prophet ﷺ encouraged specific adhkar in the morning and evening (Sahih Muslim 2692).
Note: If missed, scholars allow reciting after Maghrib, but best is before sunset.
🌿 Why These Times?
They are the transitions of the day (light to dark, dark to light).
Protection from shaitan and worries of dunya.
A way to start and end your day with the remembrance of Allah.
🌟 Practical Daily Routine
After Fajr: Sit a few minutes for adhkar before sunrise.
After ‘Asr: Take a short pause for adhkar before Maghrib.
Consistency is more beloved to Allah than quantity. 🌸
