Justice Revealed — The Miracle of Life and Truth
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
“And [recall] when you slew a man and disputed over it, but Allah was to bring out that which you were concealing.
So, We said, ‘Strike the slain man with part of it.’ Thus does Allah bring the dead to life, and He shows you His signs that you might reason.”
(Al-Qur’an 2:72–73)
Context & Meaning
These verses recount a true event among the Children of Israel. When a man was killed and his people hid the murderer, Allah commanded them—through Prophet Mūsā (Moses) عليه السلام—to sacrifice a cow.
Then they were told to strike the slain man with part of that cow.
By Allah’s will, the dead man was brought back to life for a moment. He spoke and revealed the name of his killer. This miracle proved Allah’s absolute power to bring life from death and to expose hidden truth.
Lessons for Us
Nothing is hidden from Allah. Even the deepest secrets are known to Him.
Allah establishes justice. Wrongdoers cannot escape His judgment.
Resurrection is real. The One who revived the dead man will revive all souls on the Day of Judgment.
Obedience brings miracles. The blessing lies in submission, not in questioning Allah’s command.
Use your reason. Allah shows His signs so that we may think, reflect, and believe.
Reflection
Sometimes truth seems buried and injustice prevails. But these verses remind us:
Allah will reveal what people hide, and He will make justice shine.
Let’s strive to live truthfully, repent sincerely, and trust Allah’s wisdom in all matters.
