🌸 How to Fall in Love with Salah 🌸

Alhamdulillah, Salah is not just an obligation — it’s a gift, a source of joy, and the key to true success in the sight of Allah ﷻ.
When the Adhan calls “Come to Prayer, Come to Success”, the word for success in Arabic reflects the happiness of a farmer at harvest — the relief and joy after months of hard work. This is the feeling Salah is meant to bring to our hearts.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The coolness of my eyes is in the prayer.”
But for many of us, Salah can feel like a duty rather than a delight. The missing ingredient? Khushu’ — a state of humility, calmness, and focus before Allah.
🌟 Three Dimensions of Khushu:
Humility – Standing before Allah as His humble servant.
Calmness – Praying slowly, with stillness, avoiding rushed “Formula 1” Salah.
Focus –
On Who you are praying to.
On What you are doing (every movement has meaning).
On What you are saying (understanding the words of Salah).
💡 Practical Tips to Improve Salah:
Pray as if it’s your last prayer – You never know which one will be.
Set a time – Decide how many minutes you’ll spend in prayer, so you slow down and choose meaningful surahs.
Learn the meanings – Understand every word you recite so your heart is fully present.
🌱 Why It Matters:
Even if someone is struggling with sins, Salah — when done sincerely — can be the catalyst for change. It’s our lifeline, our connection (sila) to Allah, to fellow worshippers, and even to the angels.
When you say “Allahu Akbar”, you’re declaring: Allah is greater than whatever was on your mind before prayer.
📖 Reflection:
The Prophet ﷺ taught that the first deed we’ll be judged on is Salah. If it’s sound, the rest will be easier. If not, the rest will be harder.
