Give Your Best for the Sake of Allah - Surah Al-Baqarah (2:267)

📖 The Verse
“O you who have believed, spend from the good things which you have earned and from that which We have produced for you from the earth. And do not aim toward the defective thereof, spending from that while you would not take it yourself except with closed eyes. And know that Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.”
(Al-Qur’an 2:267)

If not — why offer that to Allah?

Meaning: You would only accept it out of embarrassment or desperation.
Allah is teaching us: Treat charity with dignity and sincerity.

Allah does not need our charity.
We need the reward.
Giving benefits us, not Him.
