🌙 Dhikr to Say When You Wake Up at Night
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem,
🌿 Authentic Hadith
Narrated by ʿUbādah ibn aṣ-Ṣāmit (رضي الله عنه):
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever awakens at night and says:
Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulk, wa lahul-ḥamd, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shay’in qadīr.
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, subḥānallāh, lā ilāha illallāh, wallāhu akbar, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh.…then says: “Allāhumma ighfir lī,,” or makes duʿā’ — his supplication will be accepted.
And if he performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted."
📖 (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Hadith no. 1154 / Book 19, Hadith 35)
🌙 Meaning & Virtue
If a believer wakes up during the night and remembers Allāh by saying this dhikr, then:
🕊️ If he asks forgiveness, Allāh forgives him.
💫 If he makes duʿā’, Allāh accepts it.
🕌 If he performs wudū’ and prays, Allāh accepts his prayer.
This shows the special status of night remembrance (dhikr at tahajjud time) — a moment when duʿā’s are most likely to be answered.
When you wake up at night — remember Allāh with this powerful dhikr.
If you ask for forgiveness, Allāh forgives you.
If you make duʿā’, Allāh accepts it.
And if you pray, Allāh accepts your prayer.
