🌸 Ar-Rahman – The Most Merciful, The Beneficent

Ar-Rahman

The Most Merciful, The Beneficent

Ar-Rahman (ٱلْرَّحْمَـانُ) is one of Allah’s most beautiful names, meaning The Most Merciful and The Beneficent.

His mercy is vast, all-encompassing, and reaches every part of creation—believers and non-believers, the obedient and the rebellious, all are touched by His kindness.

His mercy is limitless—touching every creature, every moment, without discrimination.

“My mercy encompasses all things.”

Qur’an 7:156

We begin almost every Surah with:
Bismillah Hir-Rahman Nir-Raheem – a constant reminder that Allah’s mercy is the foundation of our existence.

📖 From Qur’an & Hadith

  • Qur’an 17:110: “Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful. Whichever [name] you call – to Him belong the best names.”

  • Allah divided mercy into 100 parts—only 1 part is in this world, 99 parts are reserved for the Day of Judgment.

    (Sahih Muslim 2753) [ REFFERANCE ]

  • “Those who are merciful will be shown mercy by the Most Merciful. Be merciful to those on earth and the One in the heavens will have mercy upon you.”

    (Sunan al-Tirmidhi 1924) [ REFFERANCE ]

  • Allah’s mercy is even greater than a mother’s love for her child.

    (Sahih al-Bukhari 5999) [ REFFERANCE ]

    (Sahih Muslim 2754) [ REFFERANCE ]
