بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
الحمد لله رب العالمين، والصلاة والسلام على أشرف الأنبياء والمرسلين، سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين.
اللَّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا صَلَاتَنَا وَدُعَاءَنَا، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ، وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ.
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ دِينَنَا دِينَ نَبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ، وَحَيَاتَنَا حَيَاةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَإِيمَانَنَا إِيمَانَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، وَصَلَاتَنَا صَلَاةَ الْخَاشِعِينَ، وَأَعْمَالَنَا أَعْمَالَ الصَّالِحِينَ، وَنِيَّاتَنَا نِيَّةَ الْمُخْلِصِينَ، وَذُنُوبَنَا ذُنُوبَ الْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ، وَحَيَاتَنَا حَيَاةَ السُّعَدَاءِ، وَمَوْتَنَا مَوْتَ الشُّهَدَاءِ، وَأَدْخِلْنَا الْجَنَّةَ مَعَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً، وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ.
وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ، وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ.

Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm
Alḥamdu lillāhi Rabbil-'Ālamīn.
Waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu 'alā ashrafil-anbiyā'i wal-mursalīn, Sayyidinā Muḥammadin wa 'alā ālihi wa ṣaḥbihi ajma'īn.
Allāhumma taqabbal minnā ṣalātanā wa du'ā'anā innaka Antas-Samī'ul-'Alīm.
Wa tub 'alaynā innaka Antat-Tawwābur-Raḥīm.
Allāhummaj'al dīnanā dīna Nabiyyinā Muḥammad ﷺ.
Wa ḥayātanā ḥayātal-muslimīn.
Wa īmānanā īmānal-mu'minīn.
Wa ṣalātanā ṣalātal-khāshi'īn.
Wa a'mālanā a'mālaṣ-ṣāliḥīn.
Wa niyyātanā niyyatal-mukhliṣīn.
Wa dhunūbanā dhunūbal-mustaghfirīn.
Wa ḥayātanā ḥayātas-su'adā'.
Wa mawtanā mawta ash-shuhadā'.
Wa adkhilnal-jannata ma'al-anbiyā'i 'alayhimus-ṣalātu was-salām.
Rabbanā ātinā fid-dunyā ḥasanah wa fil-ākhirati ḥasanah wa qinā 'adhāban-nār.
Wa ṣallallāhu 'alā Sayyidinā Muḥammad wa 'alā ālihi wa ṣaḥbihi wa sallam.
Subḥāna Rabbika Rabbil-'izzati 'ammā yaṣifūn.
Wa salāmun 'alal-mursalīn.
Walḥamdu lillāhi Rabbil-'Ālamīn.
🌍 English Meaning
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all creation.
May Allah send His blessings and peace upon the noblest of all Prophets and Messengers, our master Muhammad ﷺ, his family, and all his companions.
O Allah, accept our prayers and our supplications. Surely You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Accept our repentance, for You are the One who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.
O Allah,
Make our religion the religion taught by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Make our lives the lives of true Muslims.
Make our faith the faith of the true believers.
Make our prayers the prayers of the humble.
Make our deeds the deeds of the righteous.
Make our intentions sincere only for You.
Make us among those who constantly seek Your forgiveness.
Make our lives the lives of the fortunate.
Grant us the death of the martyrs.
Admit us into Paradise together with the Prophets.
Our Lord,
Grant us goodness in this world,
goodness in the Hereafter,
and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
May Allah send peace and blessings upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his family and companions.
Glory belongs to your Lord, the Lord of Majesty, far above what they attribute to Him.
Peace be upon all the Messengers.
And all praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all creation.
📚 Understanding the Meaning
This beautiful du'a teaches us what to ask Allah every day.
🤲 1. Begin by Praising Allah
Every du'a should begin by praising Allah and sending blessings upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
This follows the etiquette of making du'a taught in the Sunnah.
🤲 2. Ask Allah to Accept Your Worship
We ask Allah to accept:
our salah,
our du'a,
our repentance.
No deed benefits us unless Allah accepts it.
🤲 3. Ask Allah to Protect Your Religion
The greatest blessing is not wealth.
It is Islam.
Therefore we ask Allah to keep us firm upon the religion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
🤲 4. Ask Allah to Improve Your Character
Notice that this du'a asks Allah to improve:
our faith,
our prayer,
our deeds,
our sincerity,
our repentance.
Instead of asking only for worldly things, it asks Allah to improve our hearts.

Every believer hopes for Husnul Khātimah (a good ending).
This du'a asks Allah to bless our life, grant us a righteous death, and admit us into Paradise with the Prophets and righteous people.

The du'a ends with one of the greatest supplications in the Qur'an:
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
"Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
