Ar-Rahman
The Most Merciful, The Beneficent
Ar-Rahman (ูฑููุฑููุญูู ููุงูู) is one of Allahโs most beautiful names, meaning The Most Merciful and The Beneficent.
His mercy is vast, all-encompassing, and reaches every part of creationโbelievers and non-believers, the obedient and the rebellious, all are touched by His kindness.
His mercy is limitlessโtouching every creature, every moment, without discrimination.
โMy mercy encompasses all things.โ
Qurโan 7:156
We begin almost every Surah with:
Bismillah Hir-Rahman Nir-Raheem โ a constant reminder that Allahโs mercy is the foundation of our existence.
๐ From Qurโan & Hadith
Qurโan 17:110: โCall upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful. Whichever [name] you call โ to Him belong the best names.โ
Allah divided mercy into 100 partsโonly 1 part is in this world, 99 parts are reserved for the Day of Judgment.
(Sahih Muslim 2753) [ REFFERANCE ]
โThose who are merciful will be shown mercy by the Most Merciful. Be merciful to those on earth and the One in the heavens will have mercy upon you.โ
(Sunan al-Tirmidhi 1924) [ REFFERANCE ]
Allahโs mercy is even greater than a motherโs love for her child.
(Sahih al-Bukhari 5999) [ REFFERANCE ]
(Sahih Muslim 2754) [ REFFERANCE ]
